User:Hello Doctor
Doctor:Good Evening
User:Good Evening
Doctor:I am Dr. XXXXXXX
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:My Mother is having some health issue, she went to a doctor today in Kerala and he has written her some scannings
User:so when the scan report came, the radiologits said that she is having a 5mm growth in kidney
User:she is yet to XXXXXXX a doctor
User:the appointment is at 8:30 PM
User:5mm growth is that XXXXXXX
User:and what could be the reason doctor
Doctor:It is not the size of the growth that matters. It is the type of the growth.
Doctor:Sometimes, growth can be just fluid filled cysts, which are usually harmless.
Doctor:But other times, it can be growth which spreads.
Doctor:These has to be differentiated.
User:can the scanning differentiate
Doctor:Yes. It can differentiate to some extend.
User:or do we have do any other additional tests
User:her blood reports all came fine
Doctor:After a doctor examines your mother, he/she may advise a CT guided biopsy.
Doctor:Further investigations depends on her condition, and also on the current investigation and scanning reports.
User:she is having swellings on her body
Doctor:Ok. It shows there is renal damage. That causes protein loss from the body and hence the swelling.
User:what is renal damage
Doctor:'Renal' is the medical term for anything referring to kidney.
Doctor:So, renal damage means kidney damage.
Doctor:have you understood what I explained till now.
Doctor:As I said, danger can be told only after a complete investigation and examination.
Doctor:So, for the time being, cross your fingers.
User:well whatever she has, that got treatment right
Doctor:Let us wait for the complete evaluation to take place.
Doctor:Yes. There is treatment for most of the problems.
Doctor:please do not worry at the moment.
Doctor:Let us complete the scans, biopsies etc.
Doctor:Then we will have a complete picture of her status and the disease status.
User:ok thank you Doctor
Doctor:Have you understood all what I said?
User:you are not available 24/7 right
User:yes Doctor
Doctor:There will be doctors available 24/7.
User:ok doctor, thank you
Doctor:We are here to help you.
Doctor:Keep your mind engaged, but not stressed.
Doctor:Hope I had been clear enough.
Doctor:Is there anything else I can help you on?
User:5 mm non obstrutive calculus is seen mid pole
User:no hydronethrosis is seen
Doctor:Usually that size growth are harmless. But again, only a biopsy can say what it is.
User:so biopsy is a surgery right
Doctor:it could be like surgery. Or it can be just introducing a needle to take some tissue from the growth.
Doctor:Is it clear?
User:yes doctor, it is i guess
User:so this 5 MM calculus growth can cause issues to your body
Doctor:Exactly where is the growth? Or is it a stone?
Doctor:If the report said calculus, it means it is just a stone.
Doctor:If it is a stone, then you need not worry at all.
User:the report says calculus
Doctor:5mm stone just passes off in the urine.
Doctor:That is a good news.
User:thank you so much doctor
Doctor:I thought you said growth in kidney.
Doctor:That is why I was advising about biopsy.
Doctor:Now it is more clear to me.
User:yes Sir
Doctor:It is just a 5mm calculus in the ureter, and it is not obstructing the urine flow.
Doctor:That is what the report says, right?
User:yes right
Doctor:In that case, relax. Have a good dinner. Ask your mother also to relax.
Doctor:There is nothing to worry at all.
User:Thank you Doctor so much
User:now i m relaxed
Doctor:Ask her to have plenty of water regularly.
User:i would call my mum and tell her also
Doctor:If she is having pain, then she may require pain killers to relieve the pain.
User:how about the swelling doctor
Doctor:The doctor would be prescribing that.
User:is there a way we could reduce that
Doctor:Let the doctor have a look and then advise about it.
User:ok doctor
Doctor:Hope you are feeling better now.
User:i am
Doctor:Is there anything else I could help you on?
User:nope doctor, not for now. I would get back to you incase if i need anything
User:thank you so much for your time
