User :   I am constantly depressed by the negative events of my life and always under constant fear that something wrong might happen. I am so scared that I am barely managing myself and my family. I resort to prayers but that too with fear. Is there any solution.

User :   yes they are I cannot concentrate on work. I read some palmistry books and surprisingly some events were true and now I am so superstitious that even if an astrologer tells me something good is going to happen I cannot trust him. I resorted to prayers as i think only almighty can help me but my prayers are just a barter and there is no spritual progress
User :   Have you seen a doctor or applied any measures to over come this?
User :   Yes I was consulting psychitrist and they had given me some treatment some tablets like serlift etc. I took treatment for 1 year but whenever any disturbing event like swine flu or dengue or flight accident or some ones death takes place, my problem gets trigerred. I saw Dr. XXX programme on TV just now and felt she can help me

User :   Since your symptoms are more mental, than physical symptoms, you would need more of behavioural modifications and changes in life style more than medical drugs to help your cause.
User :   Depending on the severity of the symptoms, the treatment is going to be gradual.

User :   It all started with my uncle was diagnosed with blood cancer and he expired within five days and the only symptom was a mild fever for a month or so. Immediately I got so frightened that I felt any fever can mean cancer. In fact same day I developed fever and felt its my turn now. I went through lot of tests to be diagnosed with a fatty liver ( which probably was positive side of this episode that I was aware I was suffering from this problem) but it took 6 months for doctors to establish this and I took hep B and Hep C test including biopsy. This futher weakened my mental strength

Doctor :   Are u on any meds right now?
User :   not really. I was given B complex, essential amino acids, antoxid. I took the medicines for 2 years and then stopped. I got my LFT recently and the readings are more or less same
Doctor :   by the looks of it, it seems that you have clinical anxiety disorder
Doctor :   this is coz, of decreased hormones in tbe brain, which cause the sense of happyness
Doctor :   i stongly advise you that u need medicines, which can stabilise these hormone levels and improve your condition

Doctor :   though, horoscopes, etc, appear to be correct, they are just coincidental
Doctor :   and theres noting in this world, which cannot be greater than will power and the power of suggestion

User :   yes are there any natural foods to improve harmones
Doctor :   also, being afraid of death, can lead to more trouble,
Doctor :   death is enevitable, and once you know that, you will stop worrying about death, and start enjoying each moment of the life
Doctor :   when you enjoy every day, of the rest of your life, you will not regret, when you die, and you will die peacefully
Doctor :   so the thing, what i advice you, is - stop worrying about everything, coz, theres nothing gained our of fear and worrying
Doctor :   take action,
Doctor :   learn to be happy , include laughter in your daily life
Doctor :   stop taking everything seriously
Doctor :   as such, you can eat all variety of foods, but no single food can give you, the effect, what medications can give you in a short span
User :   can you prescribe that or I need to see psychitrist
Doctor :   most people fear death, coz, they arr not prepared , and they have not enjoyed life when they should have, and have wasted time, on unimportant stuff, instead of important life situations
Doctor :   i cant prescribe medications without examining you,
Doctor :   Its in your best interest, to see a experienced psychiatrist, and take medicines regularly
Doctor :   also meditate for 30 minutes daily, once in the morning and one in the evenign before bed time
Doctor :   this will give you peace of mind
User :   does it help in good sleep

User :   i think so but I think it would require time and if i can convince myself to think positive

Doctor :   but that comes on, when you keep yourself happy and cheerful
Doctor :   being sad, is a reaction, to worldly things,
Doctor :   instead of being sad, if you laugh, you will benefit and have a good health
Doctor :   when a child is born, people celebrate, but when the same person dies later , people cry and make a huff
Doctor :   when u understand birth and death are the 2 faces of a coin
Doctor :   you will not rejoice nor feel sad
Doctor :   remaining calm and not reacting to stimulus is the feature of a person, who has achieved satisfaction
Doctor :   this is called as Aham Bhramasmi ( I KNOW EVERYTHING)
User :   doctor all that is fine but what the hell we are here for and if its realisation of self then it cannot be done leaving your family midway.
Doctor :   there is a phase, when you take care of your family ,
Doctor :   do your duty, as much as you can
Doctor :   realisation of self, does not mean, u have to neglect yourself or your family
Doctor :   you have to do, what you can, when you can, as much as you can - but without worrying
Doctor :   this is very hard to follow, but an attempt and knowledge of this, will make you ready to face any situation
Doctor :   if you were helpless, you can relax, that you had done, what you could at that moment,
Doctor :   for now, the first thing, u need to do -
Doctor :   fix an appointment with your psychiatrist, so that you can discuss your situation, and start taking medications
Doctor :   then, change some aspects of your life,
Doctor :   meditate, relax, and try to be happy
