Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   when did you notice it?
Doctor :   where is the exact location of it?
User :   about a month in a half ago
User :   back a little more than the middle section on the right side
Doctor :   ok.
User :   you can clearly notice it when you feel it

Doctor :   was there any history of scalp injury in childhood?
User :   I was trying to help myself by using iodine
User :   no... none known
Doctor :   ok. please describe the size of the 'dent'
User :   I guess the side of a quarter or a little bigger
User :   not actually round like a quarter but rather longer
User :   oval
Doctor :   ok
User :   had alot of memory problems but that is one of the symptoms of hypothyroism
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   is it painful to touch ?
User :   not at all!
Doctor :   do feel it as a dent in bone or scalp skin?
User :   i think scalp skin
Doctor :   ok. if it is scalp skin, then it could be due to previous injury. if there are no associated symptoms you can leave it alone
Doctor :   if it is the bony dent, then again it could suggest injury, or faulty closure of sutures
Doctor :   leading to dent like apppearance
User :   faulty closure of sutures????
Doctor :   which is again normal to have. many people have minor 'dents' in skull bone. if they are asymptomatic, they can be left alone
Doctor :   yes, what i meant to say is you have skull bones floating a little apart when you are born, as you grow up, they meet and get closed
Doctor :   and if there is any fault or mismatch, which can happen at times , a 'dent' can be formed at that place
Doctor :   many people dont notice it
User :   one more question.... I also have a dent in my butt check right side,.,.. very notice able,,, one day I looked and my husband and I notice i had a sunken dent on my right side of my butt cheek
Doctor :   is it the same on both sides or is it only on one side?
User :   only the right side
Doctor :   ok. if is is causing any deformity, you will need t get it examined
User :   I notice that people can get them form keno shots
User :   something like that
Doctor :   along with probable x-ray taken to see whats wrong
User :   but, why would someone have their butt cheek lose fat in it
Doctor :   it is possible due to injury or pressure that fat gets lost in the place
