User :   My father is suffering from Dementia for last 1 and 1/2 year
User :   hi

Doctor :   tell me more in detail about his dementia
User :   Nowadays he is crying throughout the daytime but as evening sets in the crying slows down and he falls asleep
Doctor :   is he forgetting things
User :   when he is crying he tries to talk but he cant..he is having language problem
User :   yes....normal activities he cant do
User :   like dressing up
User :   and other day to day activities
User :   but he can recognize everyone
Doctor :   does he has any other medical problems
Doctor :   like diabetes or high blood pressure
User :   He has high BP , Sugar , Cholestrol
User :   for all these he is on meication and these are under control
User :   except the BP which sometimes goes up
Doctor :   is the condition worsening over the past 1 year ?
User : by day i see its worsening
User :   now the problem is he is having less sleep and crying most of the time
Doctor :   well he could be having Alzheimer disease and needs to be evaluated for it
User :   and when he is crying he cannot speak ..tries to say but can't
User :   But doctors say he is having Dementia and not Alzheimer
User :   2 months back he was evaluated
User :   One more thing in the evening when the crying stops...he can speak and also take part in conversation between family memebers..but not during the day time
Doctor :   did they put him on any medications ?
User :   They have prescribed medication for BP , Sugar , Cholestrol and Admenta 10 mg twice daily
User :   Is there is anyway that his crying can be controlled
User :   ?
Doctor :   admenta is for Alzheimer
Doctor :   you just take to give him support therapy
Doctor :   thats the best treatment
Doctor :   try to take him out and divert his mind
User :   there is no medication to control his crying ?
Doctor :   no i am afraid not .. but he can be given some mood elevaters
Doctor :   that a psychiatrist can prescbibe
