User :   hi ! I have a quick question ! i had a dandruff problem before and i was not careful about hyegine. Now, i shampoo with antu-dandruff shampoo everyday and the problem is OK. But i have a pain in certain areas of my scalp, not like that but only when I tap on my scalp. there are no lesions, or fungus or dandruff growth there
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   i think u advised me to use minooxidil for the above problem ??
Doctor :   yes, have you tried it ?
User :   yes
User :   i wanna ask
User :   it says on the leaflet and also internet that it is for hair growth ! will it help in my problem also. the painful areas are covered with hairs, no bald patch
Doctor :   Yes, its main purpose is for hair growth , and this occurs due to dilatation of he scalp blood vessels
Doctor :   and dilatation of the scalp vessels make the scalp scars soothened and promote new healthy skin growth and relieve you of pain
User :   those areas may get more hairs than the rest of the scalp ??? wont look absurd or something ??
Doctor :   not at all , the density of the air is determined by the density of the hair follicles which is fixed in a person
Doctor :   if all your hair follicles are with hairs , it will not result in extra growth of hair , but will result in healthy dandruff free hair
Doctor :   also helps in scalp skin healing
User :   topical application has no bad effect on the liver, stomach etc ?? as they may happen with oral tablets ?
User :   like minoxidil tablets
Doctor :   Minxidil is a cutaneous vasodilator , oral formulations are not available
Doctor :   and its very safe as it do not have any sideeffcts on any systems of the body
Doctor :   also its applied topically , hence there will be no systemic absorption
User :   ok ! thanx a lot
