User :   I need to discuss my prob with you

User :   i was having fever one week back
User :   i tokk mahacef and sumo and gryllinctus

User :   but lat week the fever was gone but i had some blood with my cough
User :   i cough a lot every morning since then

User :   though from last 3 days cough is not blood is not there but cough comes

User :   no, i dont have any
Doctor :   before this episode of cough , did you have frequent cough any time earlier?
User :   not as such but as a general in the morning i brush i have a little cough everyday. but its abt daily

Doctor :   since you had a recent cough and got it treated only for the symptoms , it is persisting even now
Doctor :   though the symptoms have come down , the underlying infection may still be present
Doctor :   which may again be back if not treated fully

Doctor :   i would suggest that you need an antibiotic course
Doctor :   since the cough is heavy
Doctor :   this will bring out all the congestion in the lungs
Doctor :   and resolve the infection from with in

Doctor :   since i cannot prescribe you antibiotics
Doctor :   i would suggest you too see a doctor for an examination to check if there is congestion

User :   i will do that, should i continue with the med i was taking earlier
Doctor :   and take DOLO 500 MG
Doctor :   yes , you can continue , just take the cough syrup

Doctor :   if you get fever
Doctor :   if you have SUMO, take it instead of DOLO

Doctor :   and see the doctor if cough increases
Doctor :   any weight loss over some time
User :   Not as such
User :   i have not checked
Doctor :   ok , if the doctor feels , he may advice on a chest x ray
User :   but i am 2-3 kg less than what i was last year
