User : I just got my blood test reaults back and my Globulin level was low (2.0) while my AST (SGOT) level was high (58). I have no insurance and have been unemployed for 7 months. What does this mean and what's the next thing I need to do?
Doctor : Let me read your query
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : SGOT levels indicate
Doctor : the level is a bit high
Doctor : not very servere as such
Doctor : it could be due to muscular damage
Doctor : like stress, strenous exercise, etc
Doctor : Globulin is slightly lower
User : It's never been high before and I've been physically active. I have been under a lot of stress, though.
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : Yes that does play a factor in alterling your liver enzymes
Doctor : What other tests have you done?
User : I had a fairly complete blood test. Nothing else.
Doctor : Ok
User : Do you need to know other levels?
Doctor : were all other parameters normal?
User : Yes. The Bilirubin levels were right at the max. I've been diagnosed with B12 low before, too.
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : Have you tested that as well?
User : No.
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : That is not directly related to these parametes
Doctor : but do keep a follow up on B12
Doctor : as it is very much essential for nerve function
User : So, what about the levels?
Doctor : Now, you should come out of the stress
User : The AST is 25% above normal. Do I need further testing?
Doctor : your values does not indicate any serious damage
Doctor : You should come out of stress
Doctor : relax well
User : I wish I could!
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : May I know your age?
User : 49.
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : How about alcohol consumption?
User : very little.
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : You should repeat the test after 1 month
Doctor : these 2 tests I mean
User : OK. I've read that the Globulin level could be ceriac disease?
Doctor : It is very slight reduction
Doctor : so you should not think of any disease now
User : OK. I just wish the tests were not so expensive.
Doctor : Ok
Doctor : but only those 2 tests
Doctor : after a month of the previous test
User : OK.
