User :   i have some queries

User :   my wife is conceived and she is on end of 12th week
Doctor :   ok
User :   she get stomach pain and some lower abdomain pain too
User :   is it normal to have these symptoms .. or any medications to be taken
Doctor :   Is the pain continuous or intermittent ?
User :   its an intermittent

Doctor :   They are termed as Hicks contractions and they are normal
Doctor :   They are due to uterine contractions
Doctor :   only if the pain becomes continuous and severe , it is then you may have to take her to the gynecologist
User :   she takes doxinate[mostly] or zofer MD 4mg twice a day to avoid vomit
User :   isit safe to take these tablets and also regularly taking folris and BEVON tonic

User :   as per the gynecologist advised... are these good to take

User :   Especially, in evening time she falls sick..
Doctor :   Yes, such contraction do present in the evenings or during the sleep in the nights
User :   feels to take vomit sensation and sometime nothing stay her stomach even afte taken the doxinate tablet she vomits
Doctor :   Let her take the soft meals and in frequent less quantity meals .. Loaded stomach may result in vomiting
Doctor :   and do give her more fluids like juices and malts during the times when she has more vomiting
Doctor :   Do not go for any other medications for vomiting , the above mentioned are the only advisable ones in the pregnancy

Doctor :   Apple, Citrus fruits like orange, butter fruit, etc
User :   Daily we give pomegranate juice,orange,raisins,fig,carrot juice and veg. soup..are these okay?

User :   when is the ideal week to take her second ultrasound scan? the first was already take in the 8th week and it was normal

Doctor :   as this would be called Anamoly scan , better done by a professional Radiologist
Doctor :   This is to find out any congenital anomalies
User :   our gynecologist asked her to take by 14th week i.e. beginning of the fourth month
User :   for the secon scan to provide new medicines based on that it seems
User :   shall we proceed with same week or shall we wait till 16th week doc
Doctor :   Thats fine, gynecologist may do a scan to determine the wellbeing of pregnancy
User :   Doesn't affect the baby if we take much earlier?
Doctor :   but do get a scan 16 or 18th week by a Radiologist ( Anamoly scan )where intricate details ill be checked
Doctor :   Not at all, the ultrasound scan involves sound waves which are absolutely of no harm to the fetus
User :   we are planing to travel in the middle of fourth month 6hrs journey probably innova car.. isit safe to travel?

User :   we avoided for past two months but this travel is a must thats why... is there any other medication required this time

Doctor :   just carry the ones or the vomiting and do have a smooth drive with rest intervals

User :   how to eat this? to mix with milk or water
User :   before or after the measl
Doctor :   Yes, it has to be mixed with milk or water taken twice daily about 2 tea spoons each time
User :   is it safe to have this BIOVIT during this 4th month
Doctor :   She can take it irrespective of meals, but better would be empty stomach if she does not feel nausea
Doctor :   Yes, it is safe and recommended.. It contains protein and vitamins
User :   thanks many scan to be taken for the rest of the semester? and in which it should be take doctor?

Doctor :   after the next ( gynecologist and a radiologist ) a final scan would be in the end days in 9th month
User :   isit good have oats? she use take oats twice in a day and also eats oats biscuits
Doctor :   Oats are good , but avoid the same when she has vomiting or loose stools
User :   is there any protein biscuits like threptin avail during in pregnancy
Doctor :   Not specifically . The protein powders are much easier to digest and acceptable
Doctor :   Any wheat biscuits are good for consumption
User :   can you recommend any malts as we don't know the names
Doctor :   Malt made of powdered fried dry fruits like cashew,badam , pista, bengal gram , ragi are ok, most of times they are home made
Doctor :   Ovaltine is one amongst available in market
User :   Final question is what is the best position to sleep or lying down
Doctor :   Left sided position
Doctor :   also let her frequently change the positions , but the long time position should be the left sided one
