Doctor : Hi,
Doctor : Dr xx here
Doctor : are you on any medications now ?
User : No
User : The doctors are saying that the wound is reacting to stitches
User : it flairs up from time to time
User : I have stopped taking medications (also suggested by my surgeon) as I have become resistant to most antibiotics
Doctor : If there is pus then i suspect of infection more than any reaction
User : there is a combination of pus and blood
User : no pattern for any
Doctor : how do you say there is antibiotic resistance ?
User : culture report
User : some antibiotics are working
User : but when i take them there is a lot of improvement
Doctor : there will be some for which the infection be sensitive
User : but if i stop even for a day the whole thing flairs up
User : last antibiotic i took was taxim
User : that was one month back for 10 days
Doctor : sensitive antibiotics with good hygiene of the wound will be the best way to treat
Doctor : you can repeat a antibiotic course every month
Doctor : there is no harm
User : as of now I am sitting in a tub of warm water + povidone-iodine solution
User : for 15 mins everyday before bath
User : but the thing is doc the moment i stop the antibiotics the wound flairs up
Doctor : thats fine , increase the frequency of cleaning
User : the next day of stopping the antibiotic there is a flair up of the wound
User : cleaning is done 2 times a day once in the morning and once in the night after bath
User : that is apart from the warm water treatment
Doctor : You can take a combination of two sensitive antibiotics, combinations are very effective
User : what about the stitches
User : ?
User : sometimes there are particals stuture in the discharge
Doctor : What kind of suture material is used ?
User : i am not sure
Doctor : Absorb able or non absorb able ?
User : absorbale
User : but they havent been absorbed
Doctor : if its a absorb ale then need not to worry as they are rarely considered to cause reaaction
User : but we are finding them in the discharge sometimes
Doctor : When was the suture put ?
User : small peices
User : in feb during the surgury
User : to hold the fat in place
Doctor : if its seen in the discharge it is absorbable one
Doctor : i do not think the sutures are of any risk
Doctor : let them be there
Doctor : concentrate on combating the infection , if possible by a combination of sensitive antibiotics
User : k
Doctor : Is there anything i can help you with ?
User : i just am tired of this
User : want it to heal
User : also now I am getting boils around the area
Doctor : do not worry, follow my advice
