User :   I really wanted a second opinion as to whether I need to see a doctore - is that something that you cna provide advice on?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr
User :   Hi
Doctor :   I am a General Physician, I believe I can help you within my expertise and If required I shall recommend a specialist.
User :   I really just wanted a second opinion, I had a colonoscopy back in Oct which has come back all clear, however I still get fiarly regulare rectal bleeding, should I go back to the GP or have they done all that they can?
Doctor :   If the colonoscopy is normal and if u still has rectal bleeding source could be in intestine or stomach or doudenum
Doctor :   Is it bright red blood
User :   yes it is bright red with some small bubbles of blood that look congeled
Doctor :   You again need anal examination
Doctor :   and repeat the colonoscopy
User :   So does that mean it is unlikely to be stomach related if it is bright red
Doctor :   Usually if the bleeding is from stomach, duodenum it is dark
Doctor :   But still I recommend you to have both Upper GU and lower GU endoscopes at a time
User :   So even though the colonoscopy has come back fine its not silly of me to go back to the GP in reference to the bleeding
Doctor :   Whenu r still bledding it is not silly to go back to GP
Doctor :   and have the rept the colonoscopy
Doctor :   and rectal and anal examionation
Doctor :   we need to find out the source of bleedding
Doctor :   Do you follow me?
User :   yes thats fine - thank you
Doctor :   if the repeat colonoscopy is normal
Doctor :   then u may find source in stoamch and duodenum
Doctor :   if it is negative
Doctor :   u have advanced tests for intestinal bleeding'
Doctor :   So basic things come first
Doctor :   colonoscopy and Uppper GI endoscopy
User :   thanks
Doctor :   Thank you
Doctor :   Bye
