Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Dr
User :   What do Clay like stools look like
Doctor :   for your information, they appear like yellowish greyish paste like
User :   the outside is a little grey but the inside is brown and when I wipe it is brown on the paper
Doctor :   yes seems like it
Doctor :   do you have any liver issues ?
User :   how come it is brown on the paper though
User :   no liver issues
Doctor :   it all depends on the contents of the food consumed
Doctor :   clay like stools, are more common in liver issues
User :   they are not yellow at all
Doctor :   clay-like" appearance to the feces is the result of a lack of bilirubin.
User :   like I said they are brown on the inside and on the paper when wiping, no yellow at all
Doctor :   brown coloration comes from a combination of bile and bilirubin, which comes from dead red blood cells.
Doctor :   that is fine
Doctor :   what matters is do you have symptoms or any distress ?
User :   i had my liver ezymes checked in sept and they were normal and bilirubin was normal
Doctor :   ok
User :   i have been stressed and eating on fast foods

User :   to see if they are brown and they are on the inside
Doctor :   no i meant the liver tests ?

Doctor :   which was that ?
User :   a stomach virus that went away
Doctor :   ok
User :   they checked my liver enzymes and billribium and red and white blood cells everything was normal
User :   would clay colored stools be clay through out the stool or just on the outside of it
Doctor :   Human fecal matter varies significantly in appearance, depending on diet and health
Doctor :   it can change, it does not matter if some changes are seen
Doctor :   the human body does not produce stools with specific details
User :   clay color is not orange right?
Doctor :   no it is not
User :   okay well like i said when wiping it is normal brown and normal brown on the inside just a little dark grey once in a while
User :   a little dark grey on the outside
Doctor :   that is fine, in that case it is not clay stools
User :   oh okay
Doctor :   clay stools can be of reduced consistancy
Doctor :   you are having normal stools, since the stools are more brown,
User :   always brown on the inside
Doctor :   according to the description.
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   it is normal
