User :   I just have been circumcised 2 weeks ago. Now, I noticed there is a small hard bump underneath my penis skin, below the glands. What is this? Is it harmful?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   let me read your query
User :   hello doctor
Doctor :   is the bump under the scrotum ?
User :   no it's not
Doctor :   or at the base of the penis shaft ?
User :   it is just under the penis gland
Doctor :   does it hurt when pressed ?
User :   the penis helm
User :   it doesnt hurt fortunately
User :   but it was not there before i a circumcised
Doctor :   is it movable ?
User :   no it is not, it stays on place
User :   i cant move it if it is touched
Doctor :   is it located at the site where the penile skin was removed ?
User :   just above the circumcision line..
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   this is normal and nothing to be concerned about
User :   doctor, when i press it hard
Doctor :   it is a normal process during the healing process
User :   it looks like it has black color
Doctor :   it is a lymph node
User :   whatis a lymph noide?
Doctor :   its a collection of imflammatory cells that help in repair of tissue following surgery or injury
Doctor :   and this will soon subside
Doctor :   and is nothing to be worried about
User :   but it is stiff, i dont think it will be gone just like that
Doctor :   it will definitely
Doctor :   take some advil tablets
User :   I am out of town for 3 months, and can only go to a doctor until may..
Doctor :   they will make them go away sooner
Doctor :   that is fine, and by it will subside within 2-3 weeks
User :   so the chances of it being a tumor or cancer is small?
Doctor :   this is not cancer by any means
Doctor :   this has appeared after surgery
Doctor :   and cancers do not appear after a surgery
User :   yes this has been in my penile skin for over a week
User :   oh ok
User :   so it should go away? what if it doesnt?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   it will go away
Doctor :   within 2 - 3 weeks
User :   ok, thank you very much doctor
Doctor :   you are most welcome
Doctor :   relax for now and take some advil for a few days
Doctor :   the swelling will subside soon enough
User :   and if it doesnt subside after some weeks, should i go seek a doctor?
User :   wait, the bump is not the swelling
User :   my penile skin is still swollen, but there is one small area which has a small hard lump inside
Doctor :   yes, if it does not you can see the doctor, BUT im sure that it will subside soon enough
Doctor :   i do understand what you meant
Doctor :   and i was referring to the small node
User :   oh alright then
Doctor :   not the swollen penile skin
User :   sorry to bother you
User :   thank you
Doctor :   no problem
Doctor :   you are absolutely welcome
