Doctor :   The symptoms of sinusitis are secondary to nasal congestion.
Doctor :   recurrent nasal congestions are often caused by various factors - infective, vasomotor, allergic and so on
Doctor :   occasionally they are due to structural problems of the nose such as deviated septum.
User :   one of my nostril is blocked everytime
Doctor :   And occasionally the cause for recurrent nasal congestion are not known.
Doctor :   Hence depending on the cause for recurrent nasal congestion, the treatment varies.
Doctor :   With this information, I shall proceed with the measures that you can follow in times of sinusitis.
Doctor :   1. You can use pain killers such as paracetamol tablets or brufen tablet when ever there is severe headaches.
Doctor :   2. steam inhalation thrice daily is useful.
Doctor :   3. Use antihistaminic pills once a day during the episodes.
Doctor :   4. Saline nasal drop applications twice or thrice a day can also be used.
Doctor :   Apart from these measures, you may need antibiotics if necessary,
Doctor :   5. If the sinusitis are very frequent, you can avail surgical treatment to prevent these episodes.
Doctor :   This can be done by a ent surgeon.
Doctor :   6. Finally, I also suggest you to consult an ENT specialist ( face to face consultation) for examination
