User :   Hello, Dr XXX
User :   I started swimming regularly in Jan 2009. I used to have a bath with dettol soap after swiming every day. (However I understand that the water at the pool bathroom was "boring" water) I developed Neck infection(i guess its ringworm) in a few months. I stopped swimming after some time, when it vanished. however, when I took up swimming again, it reappeared and has been there ever since. I have stopped swimming for more than 3 months, but the infection has still I have tried using "B Tex" and "Ringgaurd" but there has been no effect. The region looks stained (dark) and I feel scratchy once a while (Dont feel stratchy all the time).
User :   i also have similar stained part on my waist
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Chronic fungal infections are common
Doctor :   You have tried the Over the counter medicines but they did not help
Doctor :   YOu require a better antifungal with mild steroid which can benefit
Doctor :   The applications are also to be followed for few weeks
Doctor :   The time, dose is better decided on physical examination of the area
Doctor :   Since it is a common infection any doctor near by can treat it
