Hello doctor
Hi
My Baby is 27 days old. I have certain doubts to clarify.
sure please proceed
My baby is regurgitating/vomiting the milk as soon as he finishes drinking. Why is it so?
does he throw up all that he has fed ?
or only small amounts ?
not all that he has fed.. But it is not small amount.. atleast one third he is vomiting even I burp him for more than 10 minutes
how long has that happened ? when exactly has that started ?
for the past 3 days
ok
is there anything to worry about this or this is a normal condition>
in that case, he will have to be examined by a doctor to rule oout conditions like gastric reflux or congenital pyloric stenosis
such conditions are the most common cause of the typical presentation
he is releasing gas... so shall I consult a doctor?
described by you
it is not normal , to vomit a lot of milk that he feeds
does he feel hungry soon after he breast feeds ? and demands for more ?
Yes Doctor. He feeds for 45 minutes for every two hours.. Once he urinates or poo's he is getting hungry immediately.
in that case, a examination by your doctor and if needed a ultrasound of his abdomen might be needed
I feel I do not have enough milk for him.. Please suggest me food which enhances breats milk
there might not be actual issues with you since he is vomiting a lot, he might be needed to be examined and treated
there are no foods, that can actually increase breast milk production as that is due to hormone induced secretion
ok Doctor. Thank you for your suggestion.
You are very welcome
Shall I give boiled water for my baby?
not needed just continue to breast feed, until he is 4 months old
ok Doctor. For a single day, how many times hsould I feed?
if your doctor determines that , his feeds are less, then top feeds can be started, but not before that FEED ON DEMAND
you can feed him any no of times, as and when he feels hungry and wants to feed continue this until he is 4 months old
i HOPE U have understood my suggestions
Yes Doctor. Thank You sommuch
You are very welcome
