User:My 1 year old son looks like is having some kind of itching in between the legs (upper thigh)

User:It looks like he is having some eczema..or something else
User:We saw it from last couple of days...
User:When ever his pant is off, he always try to scratch there....
Doctor:Okay, does the rash look red?
Doctor:is there any rash?
User:Today even with the pant he is trying to scratch there..

User:We can easily make out some problem is htere..
User:We use very less diapers...
Doctor:is the rash between the thighs?
User:either side of penis on the thighs.
Doctor:How often do you give bath to your son?
User:It looks like very itching for him...
User:as his hand always goes there today..

User:We give once a day...normally..
User:some times twice...if it was not chilly.

Doctor:You would have to start applying a good antifungal cream

Doctor:the antifungal cream should be plain, meaning it should not contain any steroids
Doctor:I generally prescribe KZ cream to my patients
Doctor:but this medication is available on prescription only
Doctor:so, I suggest you consult your family doctor for the same
User:oh...! But it is only external only..right ?
Doctor:The KZ cream needs to be applied twice a day for a minimum of 4 weeks
Doctor:yes it is external only
Doctor:still the medicine is available on prescription only
User:Does it have any side effects ? (or any precautions with children of 1 yr )
Doctor:For external applications not many side effects
Doctor:but if you are giving any other medicine currently then this even on external applications can have some interactions
Doctor:For the time being (Till morning) if you have a cream called rash free at home, you can apply that
User:Currently we are not giving him any medicine..
Doctor:It is best to consult a pediatrician or dermatologist for the prescription
User:Ok..I will first try to get a KZ cream in my local store...if he asks for prescription...i will check for pediatrician..
