Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I daughter is 4 yrs 10 mnths now
Doctor:Hi, proceed with your query.
User:Sometime at night(only after going to bed) she complains its paining behind her knees
User:few of my relatives say that it is growth pain
User:just want to confirm
User:its not regular
User:but spclly on the days where she did lots of activities
Doctor:Organic knee problem is usually associated with other symptoms such as swelling, redness and reduced mobility.
Doctor:If your daughter is able to move her knees without much difficulties and she has no other associated complaints,
User:no there is nothing such
Doctor:Yes, if she has no such associated complaints, then it doesn't seem to be a serious knee complaints.
Doctor:Therefore I would agree with your relatives that this should be a growth pain.
User:its not at knee actually....she points the nerves on the back side of knee
Doctor:Do you see any visibly dilated veins around there?
Doctor:If there are visibly dilated veins, it also does not indicate serious issue.
Doctor:And therefore this still possibly could be growth pains.
Doctor:Do not worry. Massage her legs and apply some warm compresses to relieve pain.
User:thanks....a lot
Doctor:If she is not able to tolerate, then a small dose of analgesics such as ibuprofen syrup can be taken.
Doctor:*the dose needs to be adjusted as per her pediatrician.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:no I never visited to her doctor on this it was never so severe..and also very occassional
Doctor:That's right... The symptoms are not concerning.
Doctor:But if your daughter is not able to tolerate the pain, then
Doctor:it may be a good option to give her pain medicines (analgesics)
Doctor:Ibuprofen is routinely used for such pains,
Doctor:your pediatrician can prescribe it to her.
User:ok sir understood thanks a lot
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:thanks a lot
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
