User :   Hi. I had a c section 5 wks ago. I had a pelvic infection when baby 2wks old with my WCC, CRP and ESR all raised and required antib's but that cleared really quickly. Stopped bleeding at 3wks. I'm now bleeding really heavy, gushing at times and soaking through to clothes. Tummy does feel tender and sore but not like period pain. Is this normal or should i seek advise?
Doctor :   All the doctors are busy , you shall get an additional package free, please log in back after 10 mins.
Doctor :   Please log in back in 10 mins.
User :   Can i not wait til one is free?
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   one min.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   I have seen your query.
Doctor :   May I ask you a few queries regarding your problem to help you better?
User :   Yeah
Doctor :   May I know how many pads you have used today?
User :   About 10.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   How about yesterday ?
User :   I started bleeding at 3am. I didn't use any pads yesterday as no bleeding.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Uusally if there is a bleed of more than 80ml or 4 pads, it is considered abnormal.
Doctor :   So 10 pads is considered Menorrhagia
User :   It seems to be coming in gushes usually when i stand up. Could this not be a 1st heavy period?
Doctor :   And is about 200ml.
Doctor :   Are you breast feeding your baby ?
User :   No. Had to stop at 2wks.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Usaully you dont get a period if you are breast feeding, even otherwise you dont have periods for at least 8 weeks.
Doctor :   Heavy bleed within 5 weeks is rather uncommon but can be one due to period.
Doctor :   But 10 pads is more and requires your gynecologist's attention immediately.
Doctor :   At this pace if you have one more day, you will land up in severe anemia.
User :   My HB is at 84 so just a bit worried it will drop further.
Doctor :   And other complications.
Doctor :   Yes, I would advise you to drink lot of fluids
Doctor :   juices
Doctor :   friuts
Doctor :   iron rich nuts and beans and green veggies
User :   I have noticed joint pain especially in my knees and ankles today and do feel a bit dizzy.
Doctor :   And take your gynec's appointment to rule out any other complication.
Doctor :   That is a sure sign of anemia and weakness.
Doctor :   How was your CS?
Doctor :   Did you loose too much bllod ?
Doctor :   blood ?
User :   Planned but haemorrhaged 1000mls in theatre. They accidently cut through my placenta.
Doctor :   Please log in back after 10 mins. i sahll advise you to get a free package
Doctor :   of 15 more mins.
