User :   Hi,I have had a problem with my heart about a year ago. It was basically missing a beat and then the next beat was really hard (to catch up apparently). This beat was like someone hitting me in the chest (not hard, just very noticable).
It came and went but was always particialy bad when I was under a large amount of stress. My docs hooked me up to the machines but at that time my heart was behaving normally so there was not much they could do. Now I have sharp stabbing pains from time to time in my chest again. They are not too bad and go very quickly. Its all getting a bit concerning. Please could you explain what is happening and whether excersise such as doing an Ironman is a really bad idea. Doctor :   You should cross the Heart rate of 150 beats per minute
Doctor :   Optimal heart rate for you at this age is 130 beats per minute
User :   Do you think this problem is causing any damage to my heart?

Doctor :   Keep increase the timing of exercise slowly
Doctor :   in terms of time, calorie burning and the heart rate
Doctor :   Increase 10% of time each week
User :   Thanks that is reassuring. I knew someone a few years ago that dropped dead from a heart attack at the age of 25 so I have always been paranoid.
