User :   i recently went to the emergency room with chest pain mostly on my right side but it also burns on the left as well. i am 32 years old female. the doctor said that my esopogus was creating acid and that was the cause of the pain what is your opinion?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Let me read your query
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Since when are you having this pain?
User :   i have been stressed out for about 1 week. did you receive my answer
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   acid produced in the stomach
Doctor :   goes up into the esophagus
Doctor :   and causes that problem
User :   since it is felt in the breast do you think it has anything to do with the breast tissue?
Doctor :   No, it is not like that
Doctor :   as you have confirmed it as being due to acid reacting with the esophagus
Doctor :   it is nothing do with the breast tissue
Doctor :   you can see changes in the area
Doctor :   due to referral of the pain to that site
Doctor :   the primary cause shall not be in that site
User :   i went to another doctor and she suggested that i get an ultrasound in the breast
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   But esophagus problems
Doctor :   does show up in that site
Doctor :   and hence cannot be said due to breast
Doctor :   in view of your positive history
Doctor :   esophagitis does cause such symptoms
User :   why do you think she suggested that?
Doctor :   I cannot comment on that
Doctor :   as it could be hypothetical
Doctor :   if there is a lump in the breast tissue
User :   ok
Doctor :   then it is worth to get the test
Doctor :   but just with pain, I doubt
User :   no she said she did not feel any lumps
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   that is fine then
Doctor :   Have you taken any antigastric medications for the above problem?
User :   she also said it could be a cist what do you think?
Doctor :   cyst, in the breast, without feeling it
Doctor :   cannot be concluded as such
Doctor :   if there is a cyst
Doctor :   you shall see a swelling most of the times
Doctor :   and cysts do not cause pain most of the times
User :   so the pain in the breast is not to worry/
Doctor :   Have you taken any antacid or antigastric medicines till now?
User :   no i want to take prilacid
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Have you been prescribed with it?
User :   no
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   You do need a proton pump inhibhitor along with domperidone
Doctor :   it should be taken on prescription only
Doctor :   Discuss it with your doctor
Doctor :   and he/she shall prescribe you with one
User :   so even though there is pain felt deep in the tissue of my right breast i should not be concerned?
Doctor :   should be taken for atleast 15 days without a break
Doctor :   Yes, it should not be due to breast tissue problem
Doctor :   First, it shall be worth to try these medications
Doctor :   along with good dietary tuning as well
Doctor :   like avoiding spicy, sour and very hot foods
User :   ok i was scaed i might have cancer or a cyst
Doctor :   say no to junk foods and non veg as far as possible
Doctor :   Also do brisk walking daily for about 30 minutes continously
User :   so it has nothing to do with breast cancer or cysts?
Doctor :   In breast cancers, the chief symptom is a lump
Doctor :   which does increase in size
Doctor :   even in cyst, a swelling shall be made out
User :   ok so its probably acid then?
Doctor :   Yes, possibility is high
Doctor :   for it to be of an acidic cause
User :   when i put pressure on that area it hurts is this normal of acid?
Doctor :   Yes, it shall be painful on touching
Doctor :   Good observation
User :   ok because it did not hurt until i putpressure on the area
Doctor :   Fine
Doctor :   Do you have any other questions?
User :   no thank u
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting, bye for now
