User :   Can Arythmia be triggered by Spicy Food - Curry. Last night I eat a Curry probably too quickly and this set off an episode of Arythmia (very irratic heart/pulse). 12 hours later it has subsided BUT I am still not in Sinus Rythm. Also I have episodes at Night when I wake to a fast beating feeling in my chest BUT my pulse appears normal. I feel awful in the morning following one of these episodes.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Iam.Dr....

Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   How long you are taking that?
User :   for last 2/3 years

Doctor :   ok
User :   OK but any ideas about night time episodes
Doctor :   And arrythmia increases with old age too
Doctor :   Did you take alcohol or caffeine drinks?
Doctor :   Indian curries are spicy and salty
User :   no caffeine and moderate alcohol (glass wine)
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Curries usually are not assosciated

Doctor :   When was your last visit to your doctor?
Doctor :   What is your pulse rate now?\
Doctor :   I f you still have the beating feelings you need to go to emergency room
Doctor :   EKG is the most precise method for diagnosing the arrhythmia.
User :   Few weeks ago. Have also seen cardiologist who is now suggesting Ablation. Do you have any suggestions re noght tme incidence of rapid beating feeling in chest BUT no disernable alteration to pulse.
Doctor :   OK
Doctor :   That happens because all
Doctor :   your beatings from heart are not conducted to blood vessels
User :   Pulse now about 68 but slightly irregualr.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   The heart is a muscular pump divided into four chambers--two atria located on the top and two ventricles located on the bottom.
Doctor :   Your beating feeling is from atria part
Doctor :   And the pulses are from Ventricular part
Doctor :   So all atria beat is not conducted to ventricles
Doctor :   Did you understand what i said?
Doctor :   When an arrhythmia cannot be controlled by other treatments, doctors may perform surgery
User :   Yes thanks. Will speak to Cardiologist again.
Doctor :   Surgery includes ablation of tissued
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Is there anything else i can help you with?
User :   No thats all thank you
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting.Bye for now
