User :   Good evening. I am encountering a problem with the shaft of the penis being swollen right below the the head of the penis and a secondary and smaller swelling lower on the shaft. Both sites do not have any appearance of rashes or redness. However, both sites are weeping. Any thoughts? The inflammation has lasted about 24 hours. Mild itchiness.
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here. Let me read what you have typed.
Doctor :   how did it get precipitated? was there any history of injury or sexual intercourse?
User :   No sexual intercourse. Not sure what I did.
Doctor :   is there pain associated?
Doctor :   did the swelling appear after masturbation?
User :   Not really. Just an irritation.
User :   No.
Doctor :   is there color change or skin appearance/texture change?
User :   Maybe slightly darker. No major changes in texture or color.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   has the swelling been increasing?
User :   I did notice three small (really small) blood blisters (angiokeratoma of the scrotum). One on the scrotum and two at the head of the penis.
User :   The larger swelling has increased to about a 1/2".
Doctor :   when did you notice the blisters?
User :   Yesterday, prior to the swelling of the two sites.
Doctor :   if the swelling is increasing , then I would advise to to get it examined soon.
Doctor :   to look for the cause for the swelling
User :   It seems to have reached its largest size this morning. From then, no change.
Doctor :   you might need to get a doppler scan done
Doctor :   to see if the swelling is due to vascular reasons
User :   I have seen swelling as a result of rough handling. This looks different.
Doctor :   ok
User :   On those instances, there was no weeping or sweatiness.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   then the sweatiness would also indicate a vascular origin.
Doctor :   due to high congestion, the sweatiness could result
Doctor :   hence get it examined and investigated thoroughly without delay
Doctor :   and start with the treatment as indicated by the test results.
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
User :   The weepiness doesn't have any odor like normal sweat. It is a clear liquid.
User :   Where does one go for a dopler scan?
Doctor :   your PCP/ treating doctor would refer you
Doctor :   along with a prescription
Doctor :   if the doppler scan is indicated for you
Doctor :   after the examination
