User :   I am wondering what could cause cloudy lungs (shown on x-ray), vomiting, diarroreah, excessive hair loss and coughing in a child?

User :   The child is female, she lives in C Australia, and she's 3 years old

Doctor :   since when did she have this problem?
User :   I'm not sure when it started. She's had the cough, vomiting, diarroeah for about two, two and a half weeks now. The x-ray was only done this week and showed clouding on most of her left lung
Doctor :   she probably has a respiratory infection
Doctor :   how is her condition now?
User :   It seems much the same. the doctor here wants to send her for tests and said it could be cancer???
Doctor :   did she get any more tests done?
User :   not yet. he wants to send her on wednesday

Doctor :   how are her stools looking like?
Doctor :   are you there?
User :   normal, just runny
Doctor :   any blood or mucus?
Doctor :   in the stools?
User :   no

Doctor :   with sputum
User :   yes, it sounds chesty, and she brings up phlem
Doctor :   what is the colour of phlegm
User :   yellowish

Doctor :   it appears to be an infection
Doctor :   does she have fever?
User :   yes, about 39 degrees, and it's hard to bring down
Doctor :   then its unlikely to be cancer
Doctor :   she would be kept on antibiotics
Doctor :   she would probably need hospital admission
User :   like bronchitus?

Doctor :   or bronchiolitis
User :   ok. thank you very much
