User :   I am XXXXXXXX XXX fromXXX
User :   Basically from last few month, I am facing acidity issues
Doctor :   May i know your age?
User :   32 years
User :   this problem was never there before
User :   i do not take much of outside food also
Doctor :   Since how long are you having this?
User :   last 4-5 months
Doctor :   Its not because of outside food only...
User :   on 2-3 occassions, due to acidity my head starts paining very badly
User :   i had consulted local doctor too
Doctor :   There are many other causes as not having proper diet, long gap of food, ulcers in GI tract
User :   he gave me medicines, told me to have a coffee & go to sleep
User :   so what do you suggest
Doctor :   It can be due to:Consumption of rich and spicy foods , Eating speedily, very fast devoid of proper chewing, Inappropriate sleep
User :   i do take all meals on time - morning breakfast, lunch, evening snacks & dinner
Doctor :   1)First of all have less spicy and oily food, consume more of fruits and veggies.
Doctor :   2)Drink lots of water.
Doctor :   3)Exercise regularly at least 20 to 25 minutes
Doctor :   4)Eat more of watermelon, banana and cucumber when you have acidity.
Doctor :   5)Drink a glass of cold milk for immediate relief from acidity.
Doctor :   6)Have coconut water 3 to 4 times a day, it will help in relieving symptoms.
User :   ok fine, any alternative for coconut water, bcoz it may not be available all he tome
Doctor :   7)Have 10 gms of jaggery after meals to control symptoms.
Doctor :   8)You can opt for mint juice instead.
Doctor :   9)You can take Ulgel for immediate relief if symptoms are not controlled.
Doctor :   10)Never lie on bed immediately after having lunch or dinner.
Doctor :   At least have 1 to 2 hours of gap.
User :   ULGEL? Right? Is it a tablet or a syrup?
Doctor :   It is a Syrup.
User :   may be going to sleep after 1 hour is a problem, because we reach the home very late, have to have dinner & go for sleep quickly
Doctor :   Then go for 10 to 15 minutes walk after dinner and keep your head elevated from your legs by keeping 2 or 3 pillows so that acid does not reflux back.
Doctor :   At least keep a gap of 30 minutes after dinner.
Doctor :   Have you followed what i have said?
User :   yes doctor i have followed & will try to ensure all the above

User :   to clarify on mint juice, will pudin XXXXXXXX help?
Doctor :   Mint juice cannot be replaced by pudin AAAAAAA Drinking a glass of water with a teaspoon of soda is also beneficial .
