User:Good Morning Doctor
Doctor:
Please proceed with your query
Doctor:Are you there?
User:Yes..Sorry...there is some problem with the Internet
Doctor:Proceed with your query.
User:actually i wanted to enquire if we can use normal soaps for a yr old toddler
User:*2 Yr old
User:presently she is using XXXXXXX Baby Soap
Doctor:Ok
Doctor:* I mean, babies skin is supposed to be very gentle and mild. Most pediatrician recommend using mild soap.
Doctor:I suggest sebamed baby soaps to most of my patients.
Doctor:However if your child has no problems with XXXXXXX baby soap
Doctor:there is no harm in continuing it.
Doctor:You need not change the soap brand if your child has no problems.
User:actually there are no rashes or anything..its been very long now she is using it
Doctor:Please continue it; no issues.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:but do soaps tend to make give atn
User:or darken the skin
User:*tan
Doctor:There have been some reports that some brands cause skin tanning. However as the reports are not consistent
Doctor:I wouldn't associate soaps to skin tanning.
Doctor:If your child has issues, you can try switching to an alternative brand.
User:ok..actually she is becoming dark..we do not know if its cause of the soap or the weather-
Doctor:Since you been using the soap for 2 years, if it was indeed from the soap
Doctor:you should have felt the darkening much earlier.
Doctor:I don't think its from the soap.
User:ok..
User:and i had 1 more query
Doctor:Proceed.
User:actually my kid stays wid my mum in law at my husbands home town
User:we meet during the weekends and extended holidays
User:now we rare planning to get her here to stay with us
User:but my husband says she will not stay without her grandmother
User:how can we solve this
User:as we both are working
Doctor:Yes, children get associated with individuals and familiar surroundings.
Doctor:But most get over it much sooner.
Doctor:you may face some troubles initially, but gradually with your care and affection
Doctor:you can make her stay with you parents.
Doctor:As far as the second question about both parents working,
Doctor:it's a decision that should be taken by you and your husband.
Doctor:Both of you need to sit together and discuss how to handle it.
Doctor:Opinion from a third person may not suit your needs.
Doctor:I can give you a suggestion to bring the grand mother with your child here
User:yes..but i feel after few days she can get adjusted to this environment
User:but even worried she might not stary widout her grand mum
Doctor:If she can't stay for long term, she can assist you initially until you set things right.
User:that is what is wrryng us
User:that is what i suggested..
Doctor:What i meant was you can get her grand mother to stay with you people for sometime.
Doctor:She can assist you people to set things right if she can't stay for long.
User:but will my child stay without her after few days
Doctor:It's something you need to try.
Doctor:I don't feel you want to keep your daughter away from you for life.
User:yes..that is there..and thinking about it seriously..so we are confused about how to go ahead
User:wen we go there she will not leave us
User:but again in the evening while she goes to sleep she will ask for her grand mom
Doctor:As I said earlier, children get adjusted to new environment.
Doctor:Some may take time but eventually they do get over it.
User:ok Doctor..thanks for the suggestions
User:i do not have any more queries
Doctor:Since you parents have taken a decision, you should give it a try before thinking of problems that can arise.
Doctor:Hope it is clear to you.
Doctor:Thanks for visiting me here. Bye for now.
