Doctor:How can I help you?
User:i have 7 months baby
User:i am going for a job from nextweek
User:can i feed him with some other milk powder like lactogen
Doctor:Sure, you can.
User:or can store my milk(mother's milk) in fridge and give him next day
Doctor:In fact you need to start him on other solid foods like soft rice, gruel, mashed potatoes, egg yolk, meat pieces, mashed apples and fruits, etc.
Doctor:This process is known as weaning and it's time you start the weaning process.
User:shal i feed milk in feeding bottle or silver glass
Doctor:Any thing that is clean and hygienic will do. However most infants prefer feeding bottle over spoon feeds.
Doctor:Keep his weight recorded and discuss with your pediatrician about the process of weaning.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:ok...he got infection under his ears (near to neck) but
User:he is fine after a week immediately ...should i take him to surgery specialist for check up again
Doctor:I am not sure what you meant by infection. But yes, it would be better to see a doctor.
Doctor:In this case a pediatrician or a dermatologist will be the right choice
Doctor:A surgeon would be needed if there is a swelling and other signs.
User:ok. when should i start giving him food (cooked rice, vegies ect)
Doctor:I am sure the pediatrician/dermatologist will treat him better.
User:ok. i will do it
Doctor:It could have started earlier by 4-6 months.
Doctor:The weaning process needs to be gradual and slow
Doctor:New food needs to be tried and slowly started one by one.
User:thank you for your help..
User:thanks a lot
Doctor:So i would encourage you to take help of your pediatrician or contact us
Doctor:if any help is needed.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
