User :   i burned my hand when i grabbed the handle of a cast iron skillet from the oven
User :   i immediately applied ice, then "Eletone" (from earlier appt. with dermatologist)
Doctor :   Actually cold water is better than Ice

User :   happened 2 hours ago, it still is very painful, red and the skin is sort of "puckering".. i still have ice in a latex glove covered with a washcloth ... it hurts

Doctor :   I also want to know the extent of the injury or the size of the patch
User :   is there anything more i can do to help when i go to bed? e.g. pain meds? i have endocet and vicodin in the med cabinet, would that help with a hand burn?
