Doctor :   Hello
Doctor :   I am Dr here
User :   Hello, I found a small raised bump on teh shaft of my penis, i used the vinegar test on it and it did not turn white.
Doctor :   may i know your age please ?
User :   should i be concerend?
User :   45
Doctor :   And any history of unprotected sexual intercourse ?
User :   no
Doctor :   When did you saw the bump ? how long has it been ?
User :   3 weeks ago - i just noticed it
Doctor :   Is it painful ?
User :   no
User :   does teh negative vinegar test eliminate hpv warts
Doctor :   i will tell you about the vinegar test
User :   ok
Doctor :   Use of plain old table vinegar when left in contact with skin for a minute or so will cause warts and HPV infected skin to turn "white" in comparison with surrounding skin
Doctor :   But so will any skin scratch, abrasion, or rash. In other words, use of vinegar is pretty good at finding warts & HPV infection, but also other benign skin findings
User :   they did not turn white
Doctor :   but when it doesn't show any "white" changes this is more powerful to conclude that warts or HPV skin infection ARE NOT PRESENT.
Doctor :   so dont worry
User :   the bump did not turn white
Doctor :   now i will tell you what we can do about it
User :   ok
Doctor :   also you have no history of any unprotected sexual intercourse
Doctor :   so any STD can be ruled out
User :   once
Doctor :   when was it ?
User :   1 year ago
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   well now what we will do is that we will wait and see if the bump is increasing in size or not
Doctor :   or any changes over the skin
Doctor :   like itchiness or redness
User :   and if there is none
Doctor :   as then it can be just a pearly penile papules
Doctor :   which are simply tiny gland in your skin which have swollen up
Doctor :   and requires no treatment
User :   even if it is skin colored
Doctor :   It could also just be genital acne. Again, nothing to worry about
Doctor :   we dont want it to change
User :   thanks
Doctor :   or present with symptoms
Doctor :   thats all
