User :   I've had a feirce bruising sensation on my left side just underneath my bottom rib. Feels like I banged it up pretty bad but no bruise. Is this something I can ignore? It's been going on for about 3 days now.

User :   yes like when you have a bruise and it's actually been since Sunday so 5 days now

User :   lol...yes but I use herbs instead of docs most of time... I'm hypoglycemic and have had lots of thyroid problems...I'm in remission from grave's disease now

User :   actually since Sunday so 5's not earth shattering more like a bad bruising feeling

User :   not touching it makes it ok...but i drive school bus and when i use parking break it hurts really bad

User :   i can call for an appointment...i just have no insurance so didn't want a several hundred dollar bill for nothing

Doctor :   organ pain can radiate to either side thats why i had mentioned it
Doctor :   a constant pain for 5 days do require a abdominal ultrasound
User :   yikes...ok...they gave me appt for 15th so hopefully it will disappear before then...
User :   i had seen something online about left side pain being possible from hepatitis and that startled me because hepatitis is a bad thing here in Alaska
User :   is that a possibility?
Doctor :   have you had unprotected sexual intercourse ?
Doctor :   hepatitis will also cause jaundice
User :   no i'm abstinent and have been for over 3 years now
User :   i'm just not interested in sex
Doctor :   then its not hepatitis

Doctor :   as hepatitis A will not cause it
User :   is the spleen on the left side?
Doctor :   yes it is
Doctor :   but its usually a traumatic injury that can cause it
User :   two weeks ago i fell on my left side but registered no pain in rib area as i fell on my left hip and shin
User :   so i don't think it was that
