User :   my wife had developed a Breast absys and her left breast was punctured to remove the puss

User :   now its 13 days after surgery and she is off on anti biotics too

Doctor :   I suggest that you try once again as it is important to continue feeding with the affected breast

Doctor :   I suggest that she wears a good supportive bra, feed the baby at frequent intervals whenever the baby cries and do not wait till the breast is enlarged.

User :   and that gets wets till evening and we change in the eveing

Doctor :   Ask her to continue breast feeding, the vomitting in the baby may not be due to the milk.
Doctor :   The leakage of milk from the drainage site
Doctor :   can be ignored now as it is minimal
Doctor :   and it will heal as daily dressings are being given

Doctor :   Ask her to take plenty of fluids
User :   there is saying that raw fruits should not be given to the mother till 3 months how true it is ?
Doctor :   That is not true, the mother can take fresh fruits and raw vegetables.
Doctor :   She should take a little over and above her normal diet to support adequate breast feeding
