User :   reently I got a pimple behind my ear, right at the hairline. I have popped it and then scratched it I guess. It started healing afterwards and I scratched it off again and the blood rushed down my neck as a stream. I stopped it with application of pressure, but now I am waiting for it to heal and it became this bubble that is filled with blood, about 6-7cm in diameter and it seems to be just containing the blood there. what can I do? what can it be? it is worrying my nuts.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello
Doctor :   Dr here
User :   thank you
Doctor :   Let me read what you have typed.
Doctor :   Since how long did you have this pimple? Is there any pain, burning, itching or foul smelling discharge? Also may i know your age?
User :   It doesn't just feels like it is filled with blood.
User :   no smell
User :   I am 27
User :   it doesn't burn. it itches just a bit when the scar tissue starts to form and dry a bit over it
Doctor :   Is there any other symptom? Is there any pus formation inside it?
User :   No pus
User :   Perhaps blood is mixed with a bit of lymph
User :   it alsmost feels like there's a pressure bubble and once I pop it, it shoots out lymph and blood, followed by blood
User :   and it seems to have a hard time to clot
Doctor :   It seems like a bacterial infection
User :   it really bothers me, cause i am in school and perhaps trying to drain it somehow thought that it might help
Doctor :   1)Do not touch and scratch it at all.
User :   it almost looks like a mole
User :   but quite raised
User :   it appeared after my visit to OB
Doctor :   2)Apply Betadine ointment over it.
Doctor :   3)Wash it with some over the counter Antiseptic solution twice a day
User :   I went in for a bacterial candidiasis and was prescribed diflucan
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I am quite sensitive to drugs and exibit most side effects
User :   later on I got this pimple/mole
Doctor :   When did you visit OB?
User :   17th of august
Doctor :   It can be due to drug effect or may be hospital acquired infection also
User :   after diflucan I had a reaction
User :   my pH changed and i seemed to get a secondary vaginitis
User :   so I was prescribed flagyl
User :   for 10 days
User :   it took care of that
Doctor :   4)Do hot water soaking twice a day. It will reduce the inflammation and bacteria
User :   but can flagyl thin out blood
User :   ??
User :   just now I took a sterile hospital needle and tried to pierce it
User :   it was only a 25 gauge
Doctor :   Flagyl is an antibiotic drug and is given to control the bacterial infection.
User :   so i thought it might drain it
Doctor :   It does not cause thinning of blood
User :   but the blood semmed to pour
User :   it's crazy
User :   I am scared
Doctor :   Do not try to pierce it as it may spread the infection.
User :   I have an appointment with my dermatologist on the 28th, but I am freaking out so much I am thinking about calling in tomorrow
Doctor :   Clean it and wash it off with an antiseptic solution and apply Betadaine over it
User :   will that contain blood?
User :   it seems like there is some blood supply that was formed to that place
User :   to stop bleeding I apply pressure
Doctor :   Just clean it off
User :   and feel slight pulsation
User :   I am thinking of everything from melanoma to skin cancer to vessel damage-I don't know-it terryfies me
User :   can't eat anymore and can't sleep well
User :   it seems that it needs to be cauterized
Doctor :   Do not worry. Apply NEOSPORIN powder and Betadaine ointment
User :   do I need to put a bandaid over it
Doctor :   You can do the dressing after applying these
User :   it is also seems a little warm and I know it is a sign of infection, but it just looks like a mole-never seen infection so localized
Doctor :   You have been piercing and touching it again and again which has spread the infection.
User :   so do I need that damn flagyl prescrbed again?
Doctor :   Since infection is there these are the common symptoms.
Doctor :   For how long did you take Flagyl?
User :   10 days
Doctor :   No you can continue with antibacterial application
User :   I think i stopped it on the 8th of sep
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I am worried that it gets bigger
User :   like fills up more
User :   it looks that there's no tissue repair happenings
Doctor :   Please start the application of advised medications and that would help control the infection.
User :   do you think that the actual vessel can be involved?
Doctor :   It cannot be commented as i am not observing and examining it.
User :   because the spot is right on posterior auricular vein
User :   or very close to it
User :   what kind of medicine do you practice?
User :   your speciality
Doctor :   I am a General Physician.
Doctor :   You can get it examined by a dermatologists who may evaluate and examine it and then advice accordingly
User :   should I call them in tomorrow
Doctor :   Yes you can
User :   as an emergency, because it bleeds profusely every time I touch it
Doctor :   Then you can probably go to ER and let it be evaluated
User :   bringt red stream down my neck
Doctor :   Ok
User :   ok I will try calling them tomorrow, tell me your name again please
Doctor :   Its Dr
Doctor :   All the Best
User :   thanks
