User :   yes. but i had acne as a teenager and still do
Doctor :   ok
User :   so they appear like big pimples
User :   maybe not so much like boils
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   do you frequently suffer infections?
User :   no. not really... that flu was really the first time i had really gotten sick. other than that i really haven't had any infections... i did have an infection in my prostate... or in that area
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   for how long?
User :   about one month
User :   i did go see a doctor for that and he put me on cipro 500mg

User :   i mean type 2
Doctor :   ok
User :   and she has had diabetes for the past 10 years
User :   She is 78 now.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   after looking at your case history in my opinion
Doctor :   first you should go for Fasting and PP Blood Sugar and Glycosylated Hemoglobin blood tests
Doctor :   to rule out Diabetes
User :   ok
Doctor :   Type 1 diabetes is more common in adolescence
Doctor :   but it usually follows after an infection
User :   would that make my immune system prone to infection?
User :   ok
Doctor :   yes
User :   ok
Doctor :   type 2 diabetes is generally diagnosed in mid 40's
User :   ok
Doctor :   but there is possibility of getting it in adolescence
User :   in your opinion is there anything else my symptoms indicate this could be?
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   first thing that can be think of is diabetes and if once it is ruled out than
Doctor :   it might be a condition called
Doctor :   chronic fatigue syndrome
User :   ok
Doctor :   there may be many other conditions also
Doctor :   but as you said that your symptoms increased after fever the chronic fatigue follows the illness
User :   yes
User :   ok
Doctor :   so in my opinion first go for testing sugar in blood and urine
User :   ok
Doctor :   and if diabetes is once ruled out then we can think of other possibilities
User :   ok sounds good
Doctor :   but go for tests sooner
Doctor :   because if it is a diabetes
Doctor :   then early detection will add to better sugar control
Doctor :   and lesser complications
User :   yes my fiance works for an opthomologist and has seen the effects of diabetic retinopathy and other side effects so the sooner the better
Doctor :   yes
User :   well doctor, thank you for your time!
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?
Doctor :   Please fill the feedback form say done when done.
User :   and thank you for your advice. done
