Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr.
Doctor :   I have few questions for you
Doctor :   What is the color of the stool?
User :   Red
Doctor :   Do you see frank blood separtated from stool?
User :   The blood was spattered, the stool appeared to be separate, but I cannot be sure
Doctor :   How much blood you would have lost approx with each stool?
Doctor :   Say it in cups
User :   Less than half a cup combined
Doctor :   So do you mean this is the first time you noticed blood in the stool?
User :   Yes
Doctor :   Do you have medical problems like Hemorrhoids, Crohn's diseae or Colitis?
User :   I often have an itchy anal area, which has been prevalent for a long time, due to an acidic stomach
Doctor :   Do you ooze blood from any other part of the body?
User :   No, never
Doctor :   Do you use blood thinners?
Doctor :   Aspirin, Clavix, Heparin etc?
User :   Not regularly, I take metformin and januvia for type 2 prevention, just got over a flu, took some tylenols over the last couple of days. I also take simvastin at night
Doctor :   Do you have any other medical problems and using any other medications for them?
Doctor :   Ok
User :   No
Doctor :   Are you still noticing blood in the stool?
User :   I just got done ten mins ago, don't feel like a bm at the moment
Doctor :   After listening to you, half a cup of blood in the stool on two occassions needs a greater evaluation
Doctor :   in the form of blood tests, Colonoscopy
Doctor :   and if not found the cause on Colonoscopy then Upper GI endoscopy is advised becasue you were having Acid gastritis which can also ooze blood
User :   It may have much less doctor, it was no more than a third or a half cup
Doctor :   Ok, but I am still concerned with third of a cup
Doctor :   Because if it is not detected earlier, then it may result in larger bowel movement in near future and collapse in the rest room
User :   I have a colonoscopy scheduled for feb, the last one was 10 years ago, but this scared me
Doctor :   Do you have a family history of polyps in the colon or cancer colon
User :   No
Doctor :   Ok that is slightly assuring
Doctor :   but nevertheless, I suggest for atleast an examination by primary to keep things in safer place
User :   Absolutely, what are your thoughts on what it could be, colon cancer or what else?
Doctor :   First 1) Hemorrhoids
Doctor :   2) Anal fissure
Doctor :   3) Bleeding peptic ulcer
Doctor :   4) Last colon cancer
User :   Very good, that's quite helpful, I'll make an a ppt with my internist asap, he's very competent and trustworthy
