Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Let me read the query.
User :   Thank you
Doctor :   May I know your age and the reason why the tests were done?
User :   i am 34 yrs i was haveing on an off pain in my testes and lower abdominal
User :   so went to check up as to why i was haveing this pain for the past years
User :   its just on and off but lately it has increased
Doctor :   Can you describe the type of pain that you suffer?
Doctor :   Are you married?
Doctor :   Are you involved sexually?
User :   no i am not married
User :   yes but rarely
User :   its been a year since my last sexual contact
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me explain to you
Doctor :   Varicocele is usually asymptomatic condition.
Doctor :   It rarely causes pain.
Doctor :   Apart from pain, it is also know to reduce the chances of fertility.
Doctor :   Based on your semen tests, there are no concerns to be worried of.
Doctor :   Having said this, sitting from this far, without physical examination it is difficult to predict what the cause of pain may be.
Doctor :   The urologist who is examining after evaluation that includes urine analysis and other test will be able to determine if there is any other associated cause.
Doctor :   As far as the varicocele is concerned, this can be treated either by surgical therapy
Doctor :   or intravenous embolisation techniques.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   yes i did my bit of home work on this too
Doctor :   Ok
User :   but my main concern is that if this can be helped with any naturl treatment or so
Doctor :   Unfortunately the answer to this is no.
User :   i need to tell you that due to this resone the urologist found a tumour on my left kidney and i went through nephrotomy 3 weeks back
Doctor :   Varicocele can be treated only by intervention
User :   i am at home now and recovering by gods grace
Doctor :   either surgically or by infections to the affected veins to cause embolisation.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   my urologest suggested that we can take care of this latter which i will certainly do so
Doctor :   If there is an associated mass obstruction the flow of the blood vessels
User :   but my only worry is i do not want o go under a surgery again
Doctor :   treating the mass can reverse the process.
User :   i hope so that it gets corrected
User :   i do have only one kidney now
Doctor :   Let me put across in simple terms,
Doctor :   if the left kidney tumour is obstruction the blood veins, this can be the cause of varicocele
Doctor :   and treating the tumour and relieving the obstruction can reduce the varicocele.
User :   well i hope thats the case .. I pray that it gets alright
Doctor :   I wish you the best.
User :   at this point i would like to ask if i will have a normal life after this neprotomey suguery
Doctor :   Do you have any other query that I can assist you with?
Doctor :   Yes.
User :   it is the 3 red week now
User :   will i have to maintian a certain diet and am i restricted to doing certain sports
User :   will i be able to go go gym again
Doctor :   There are incidents where people have survived normally with a single kidney througtout their lifetime.
Doctor :   and I do not find any reason why this can't happen again with you.
Doctor :   Yes, since the functional burden to the surviving kidney is increased
Doctor :   you may need few dietary restrictions,
User :   i do not smoke or drink and o do not eat meat my main diet is fish / Chicken only
Doctor :   you may need to avoid certain drugs and medication.
Doctor :   apart from this no other major restrictions will be necessary.
User :   i always try to avoid drugs nad medication any ways but is there any thing is specific
Doctor :   If the tumour resected is a benign one (as proved by the biopsy)
Doctor :   there is no major concerns.
User :   grad 1
Doctor :   Your symptoms should improve with time and treatment.
Doctor :   The chance that you need treatment for varicocele is also reduced now.
Doctor :   Follow up with your nephrologist and urologist who will be the best person to comment if you need treatment to correct varicocele too.
Doctor :   I wish you good luck.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   thank you for you help
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   bye
