User:.I have strep throat.. the blood test didnt return any positive results for infection..

User:should i also get a throat culture test done?
Doctor:Did you get a culture of the throat swab?
Doctor:Has the streptococal infection been confirmed?
Doctor:Did you take any antibiotics?
User:bactoclav 625 for 3 days
User:didnt reduce the infection
Doctor:That is a good medicine
Doctor:You probably need to continue it for another few days
User:ok.. but i ve had this infection for quite sometime now.. i was taking another anti biotic before this.. i dont remember the name..
User:even that wasnt effective

User:ok but should i get a throat culture test done just to be sure?
