User :   Hi.. I have a few questions concerning my son. He is 6.. a brief description of what is going on... he goes through phases of super hyper..cant sit..wont just sit and eat..jumping off of any and everything..just wont Very tired...very emotional..(cries all the time about stuff that should have no reason to cry over)..mad..angry..(throws kicks hits) goes into extreme tantrums that even the sweetest talking to wont do anything. he just had bllod work done..his th levels were low.. could this be it? should i be looking into other things? im very concerned. i watch kids daily and know kids are kids but the mood changes are so quick and so different..and with sleep you can hardly wake him up he sleeps so sound.

User :   yes sorry..they tested for that.. bc she said if they came back normal he may need to see a pychiatrist

User :   yes..he was attending full time 5 days a week..gets 10 hours of sleep a night.. he doesnt have a huge appetite...could care less to ever eat really

User :   no not really... he seems to be fine during those times.. no complaints..
User :   he just talks alot at school..has gotten in trouble for that..

User :   honestly it seems like its been going on for a just has gotten worse in the last 6 months maybe.

User :   he goes from average play to just beyond control..bouncing off couches..chairs not listening... impulsive like he just does things whenever however he feels
User :   and i know yes kids do that...but he will go into cying just soo bad and say I cant stop! ...ill calm him and he will start again and say I just cant stop.
User :   or he will have this uncontrollable tantrum...kicking and rolling around and just says I cant stop i cant stop.
Doctor :   Is he easily distracted?
Doctor :   How is his behaviour towards other kids?

User :   very much so... he can sit at the dinner table and eat but then has to get up and run around..cant sit still...has to run around the room quickly takes a bit and does it again.
Doctor :   How is his appetite and meal timings?
User :   he plays great with kids...he is an only child..and doesnt have his dad around so when he is around kids he is happy just typical almost like a sibling rivalry there.
User :   he isnt a huge eater.. eats breakfast..lunch maybe and dinner rarely. he is more of a snacker.
User :   he wants to eat here and there and just bites and litte things...but pretty much has to be told to eat...once in awhile he will say he is hungry
