Doctor :   hi
User :   Hello,
Doctor :   how can we help u?
User :   Hello, I am a twenty-year-old male. I have anxiety and GERD. I have recently started a new job, which has led to a lot of stress and anxiety. For about three days I became very ill and unable to do much of anything, so I went to the doctor and was put on Celexa. The side-effects (mainly loss of appetite/nausea) were not worth taking the medication.
User :   After about two weeks I still have an upset stomach, and the doctor thinks that I have mild gastritis. I was also feeling some chest tightness and possible airway constriction, a lump in my throat and coughing up small amounts, every now and then, of yellow phlegm -- I am now taking Amoxilcillin 500mg/3x daily and Ranitidine 300mg/2x daily. I still feel the tightness in my (upper airways?) but I no longer feel the tightness in my throat (e.g. lump, food getting stuck). I have been having mild and brief chest pains and soreness in my shoulders, but my blood pressure is 128/73 and my resting heart rate upon waking is 60 bpm. I am in decent physical condition and I am 5'6" and 120 lbs.
User :   For some reason, Mucinex seems to help the tight feeling, but I am barely coughing any up any phlegm at all. Do you think that the tightness in my (upper airways?) is caused from stress/anxiety, heart problems, allergies, GERD, asthma or an infection?
User :   Note: I have never been diagnosed with asthma, nor have I have ever had an "attack" where I felt that I could barely breathe at all.
Doctor :   k..

Doctor :   do u smoke?
User :   Also the doctor seems to think my heart isn't the cause, because I have not been instructed to have an EGK/stress test done.
User :   No, I do not.
Doctor :   GERD vll aggravate if ur stressed..
Doctor :   wt ur doing abt the stress?
User :   Yes, it was extremely bad with the anxiety period when I was ill at home.
Doctor :   u quit that job?
User :   But I have not been waking up with any heartburn, and I sleep either on my stomach, on my left side or elevated with pillows.
User :   No, I am still working there.
Doctor :   it must be very severe..
User :   I am trying to relax and not stress out about the work.
Doctor :   u got endoscopy done?
