Doctor :   Let me brief you.
Doctor :   Angioplasty refers to a procedure where the blocked arteries are opened up.
Doctor :   It can be done by the use of stents or by the use of medical drugs.
User :   what the process doctor and what is sucess ratio and risk or any other metod
Doctor :   Medical drugs are useful in acute situations alone.
Doctor :   Commonly its the stents are used in treatment of coronary angioplasty.
Doctor :   In simple words the procedure is as follows.
User :   as rca is total occlusion doctor told us it would be urgent and has to done in 3 or 4 days
Doctor :   A guide wire is inserted through a vein till it reaches the obstructed artery and along this guide wire the stent is passed through and placed in position.
Doctor :   Now heart is supplied by three main artery, RCA, and two branches of LCA.
Doctor :   since RCA is a main branch, your doctor is right in suggesting that the angioplasty is urgent.
Doctor :   The procedure takes less than an hour and is done using local anaesthesia.
Doctor :   The complications are very minimal incase your uncle does not have any other comorbid conditions.
Doctor :   Few of the complications that can happen are as follows.
User :   what is comorbid conditions
Doctor :   I mean if he does not have any other medical illness such as kidney problems, arrhythmia's and so on.
Doctor :   The complications are as follows.
User :   he go for a kidney check up day after tommorow as ref by doctor
Doctor :   yes, the kidney check up is very important.
User :   doctor says that kidney may be large in size
Doctor :   Since a contrast( a dye injected into the blood vessel) is used to help in visualising those affected arteries, it can cause worsening of kidney functions, if he already has kidney dysfunctions.
Doctor :   Apart from the kidney dysfunctions the other complications that can happen are arrhythmia's and occasionally allergic reactions( reactions to the contrast dye).
Doctor :   And rarely there can be failure of the procedure.
User :   which place you suggest for engioplasty in India
