Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   My 19 year old girlfriend has scalp psoriasis, currently she is using homeopathic medicine
Doctor :   Ok
User :   is there any other alternative solution to this?
Doctor :   Psoriasis is a chronic condition and most often the treatment is only to prevent and not to cure it completely.
User :   other than steroids, what is the best option?
User :   i read about this aurvedic oil called 777oil , will this help
Doctor :   There are other non steroidic medications that can be used.
Doctor :   These are however prescription only medications and need prescription from a doctor.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   And how effective are they?
Doctor :   As I had mentioned earlier, the treatment most often is prevention of new lesions from occuring and preventing the stigma.
Doctor :   If these can be achieved the treatment is 75% acheived.
Doctor :   Any mode of treatment can be tried.
Doctor :   I am a allopathic doctor, hence my knowledge is very restricted to homeopathic medications and their treatment options.
Doctor :   Scalp psoriasis are treated with steroid/non steroidal medications and by means of a few home measures.
User :   do you know any hospitals in .... that i could go to for teatment?
Doctor :   There are various institute where the treatment is possible.
Doctor :   One of the good institutes are ...
Doctor :   If you are looking for homeopathic, then Dr Batra's clinics are good.
Doctor :   You may choose which ever form of treatment that you want.
Doctor :   You need to consult a dermatologist for the proper treatment measures.
Doctor :   You can try the medications as prescribed.
Doctor :   If you are not wishing for the steroid therapy then there are few non steroidal shampoo as well as moisturisers which can be used instead.
Doctor :   I would suggest you to use this form of treatment only if your previous homeopathic medications are not effective enough.
Doctor :   As any treatment would take time to give results and the same would apply here.
Doctor :   Are you following what I am saying?
User :   The main problem she faces with the treatment is the restiction on the food she is allowed to eat, so i was looking for a treatment that is effective and doesnot have much restriction on the diet
Doctor :   If you are not happy with the treatment, then you can try the alternative treatment as suggested.
User :   The treament is working but the restriction on the food is the problem.
Doctor :   You can consult a dermatologist to avail the prescription of these medications, and in the mean time follow with these home measures too.
Doctor :   As I said earlier, since my knowledge is restricted on the homeopathic treatments, i cannot comment on this query.
Doctor :   My personal opinion would be if the food restriction is not too much and if it is not affecting her condition too much
Doctor :   you can follow up with her present homeopathic doctor and check if the treatment can be modified.
User :   Are there any food restrticitions on the non steroid treatment
Doctor :   There are no restrictions with these measures.
Doctor :   On the contrary a good healthy diet is recommended unless she is allergic to any food.
User :   currently there is a high restriction on the food she is allowed
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   You would have to take the call on this, my opinion was a personal one.
Doctor :   I shall suggest you a few home measures that can help the condition though.

Doctor :   Depending on the state of the knee and the cause for the condition, the treatment becomes a necessiity.
Doctor :   A knee replacement is done to prevent further damage to the knee and to help in stability and motility of the knee.
Doctor :   If the knee is severely damaged, then she would need complete rest, that would mean incapacitating her.

Doctor :   As I have mentioned, one of the conservative/medical management is complete rest.
Doctor :   That would mean immobility.
User :   yes, what are the other treatments available?
