User :   I have a feeling of some thing stuck in my throat

User :   I get this almost every year since last two years during september

Doctor :   There are various cause for feeling of something struck in the throat.
User :   ok
Doctor :   It can be due to local problems of the pharynx such as a diverticulum, disformity in the mucosa of the upper gut and so on.
Doctor :   these are however rare in occurrence.

Doctor :   apart from these are allergic cause, infective cause and so on.

Doctor :   Occasionally there are few medical problems such as anaemia which can also causes similar symptoms.

Doctor :   However, if the symptoms persist, or if you develop other symptoms such as high grade fever, sorethroat, breathing difficulties, you would need medical attention.

User :   but I am having this almost a month now ...
User :   and its very irritating..
User :   also, when i speak for long, i get cough ..

Doctor :   If the symptoms are persisting as you have antiallergic measures such as oral antihistaminics, or local steroid can be useful.
Doctor :   You can use throat lozenges/cough syrups which contain antihistaminics alternativele.

Doctor :   Syrups such as benadryl have antihistaminics in them, you may use them.

Doctor :   If the cough is severe, opioid syrups are better.

Doctor :   I mean cough suppressants, such as corex may be needed, but have to be used only after consulting your doctor.

Doctor :   Apart from this, other measures which are useful are
Doctor :   1. Saline water gargling
Doctor :   2. deep breathing exercises,

Doctor :   3. Physical exercises, yoga and so on.
Doctor :   4. Good nutritious diet containing plenty of vegetables and fruits.
Doctor :   5. Finally as psychological factors play a major role in such symptoms, its necessary that you regulate and manage your stress properly.
Doctor :   Anxiety and stress can aggravate these symptoms, hence if your symptoms are recurring frequently, consider measures that can help in managing anxiety and stress.
