User :   Hi, I had my period on the 20th of March and I ate peperroni pizza and some dessert that night with beer, the next day i noticed swelling around my ankles and arms and face, I went to a doctor to check my allergy but all seemed okay, my bp was 120/60, I figured it was water retention so I drank more water, avoided sodium and worked out a lot, I feel the bloating disappear from my tummy altho my arms and face and legs still seem to be a little bloated, my urine is clear and I have been feeling headaches and fatigue. help!

User :   he said it was nothing significant and everything was alright and sent me home with an avil

Doctor :   let me explain it to you
User :   I am five feet three and weight 54 kilos
User :   ok
Doctor :   the reason for your puffiness may be two things here
Doctor :   1. an allergy which has been mild and acute
Doctor :   2. the changes in the body due to rigorous exercises and indequate eating
Doctor :   i would atribute your selling more to the reason 2
User :   yes
Doctor :   generally when one diets and exercises as well ,a lot of changes are expected
User :   So what can I do, I mean I really dont want to bloat up
User :   it makes me very paranoid
Doctor :   a change in the water levels, compartments in the body , electrolyte imbalances ,e tc happen
User :   ok
Doctor :   when a person walks or does activties more than expected , we expected the feet to swell up
User :   ok
User :   would you suggest i reduce drinking water? I drink abt 3 liters a day
Doctor :   i may not think of allergy, as allergy will cause other reactions like itching , wheeze , rashes ,e tc and on treatment the swelling may subside
Doctor :   no , do not reduce that is fine , try to cut down on your exercises
User :   ya thats what the doctor observed the one I had seen
User :   ok
Doctor :   i would suggest you change your walk time to mornings so that when you go to sleep your muscles are relaxed and you feel normal giving it time to be fine for the next day
User :   and any medication to help the face, its really odd coming to office and getting noticed around the eyes cuz I have naturally deep set eyes
User :   ok
Doctor :   drink water in frequent intervals and make sure you eat well
User :   ok
Doctor :   there is no need to give up on calories as i feel your BMI is quite fine
User :   will you be kind as to suggest me a balanced amount of water to drink
User :   ok
Doctor :   if your ,looking for toning down , i would suggest go for weights and abs
User :   I drink abt half a litre at once
Doctor :   that will not tire you much and skipping with brisk walk may be reduced a bit
Doctor :   give breaks , drink in small quantities
User :   ok
Doctor :   try changing your fitness schedule to morning hours
User :   also what do you think is causing the weakness and fatigue, the same right?
User :   ok
Doctor :   yes , your straining a lot i feel
User :   ok

User :   yes, I am a kathak instructor myself
Doctor :   try to split your exercise schedule
Doctor :   one day abs, the next day skipping
Doctor :   next day may be cardio, next day weights like that
Doctor :   make a schedule for the whole week
User :   so I am very particular about being in shape, also I think my body is changing with age so that could be it :) typical woman syndrome, I feel better thanks, I was really worried
