User :   Husband has a vasectomy and I have my tubes tied, what procedures can we do, we just want one child so we do not want to have reversals. So I want to know what the best way to go about this when I go to see the Doctor
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Hello, so is there anyway my husband and I could have a child still
Doctor :   IVF ET would be the best technique for you than a recannalisation procedures
User :   I know what a IVF is but what is a ET? Also could we do a IcIS,
Doctor :   yes, the sperm from your husband and ovum form you extracted and fused invitro and transferred to your uterus
Doctor :   ET is Embryo transfer
User :   ICSI
Doctor :   its the same
User :   Okay, will that hurt my husband to do? Also does that ET cost as mush as IVF
Doctor :   IVF ET comprises the whole procedure till transferring the embryo
Doctor :   ICSi is the procedure of fusing the sperm and the ovum
User :   So we can do the ICSI? Right
Doctor :   IVFET ( invitro fertilization and embryo transfer) is a single entity
Doctor :   yes , ICSI is part of IVFET
User :   lol ok got it
Doctor :   i will tel you
User :   This cost a lot right
User :   so are you aware of the clinic in Oklahoma if so can you tell me where you would go
Doctor :   in the procedureof IVFET the sperm and the ovum are extracted fiorm the parents and fused in the lab wit a procedure calkled ICSI (intracyplasmic sperm injection ) and then transfer the Embryo ( fused gamates ) into the uterus which is made favorable by hormones and choosing a better day from your cycle
Doctor :   Now a days may labs do follow this technique
Doctor :   you can proceed to any well known
Doctor :   and yes Oklahoma has good results
User :   my husband hates needles will they have to use any to get some off of him
Doctor :   yes, they have to use needles
Doctor :   the percentage would be determined on many other factors like uterine endometrium the sperm quality etc
User :   so there are alot of test to do before they can start
User :   so after doing this we can go back to work the next day?
Doctor :   yes, ofcourse
Doctor :   not a serious procedure
User :   Also you never said will this break a person to do this IVFET
Doctor :   these procedures do not disable you any where once you are pregnant , you know what to do
Doctor :   I didnt understand
User :   does this cost in the thousands to do
Doctor :   i am afraid , the procedure is a little costlier
Doctor :   depends on the lab you choose
User :   i bet they have their own labs
Doctor :   average would be around $0000 plus medications
User :   so does this IVFET take pretty good or is it a 50 50 shout
Doctor :   i sill say there are many other factors which determine the success, i do not want to misguide you with the limited information i have
User :   okay I understand
User :   well you got me going in the right direction, I know what my next step is now.
User :   I just didnt know if there was any thing we could do to become pregnant since we were both fixed
User :   Thank you for your help.
Doctor :   You are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
User :   you have a great day and will do
Doctor :   Bye for now
