User :   As surgery is last resory, we always try to cure with medicines & physiotherapy. This takes few weeks of time. Is the nerve damage possible in this duration also? or anytime?

User :   or putting other way....Is surgery only way to completely prevent nerve damage?
Doctor :   and anytime if the doctor finds that the nerve is getting compressed(damaged) he will immediately advise for surgery

User :   i mean, how can it found that it is getting compressed?
Doctor :   if your symptoms improves than the compression is not there, if your symptoms worsens and you develop weakness it means you are going for nerve compression
User :   i had severe pain couple of days ago. I am advised to use coderon (3 per day) and Benzaday 15mg (1 per day)
