User :   I am 34... I had an aspiration abortion 3 weeks ago, at 5 weeks pregnant. Today makes 3 week to the day and I am still very bloated. Is this normal? I am more bloated today than I was when pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test and is now negative. It has been positive up til yesterday. I do understand the hormone stays in me for for a while but wanted to check it on my own. There is no bleeding, cramping, fever, or tenderness.... just very bloated. Is this normal and if so, when will it go away?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Do you mean stomach full?
User :   lower abdomen, as if I am bloated pre period
Doctor :   What were the different medications you had taken during or after abortion, any idea?
User :   anitbiotics, cant remember the name
Doctor :   How is your appetite?
Doctor :   How is your stool ?
User :   I've been off them for 2 week now. Appetite and stools are normal
Doctor :   How long did you take the antibiotic? One week right?
User :   yes
Doctor :   Do you think the consistency of the stool changed?
User :   no, seems normal
Doctor :   Do you have vaginal discharge now?
User :   Not at all
Doctor :   Which week of pregnancy the abortion was done?
User :   5
Doctor :   Was it cleaned in the Operating room?
User :   NOt sure what you mean? Was the abortion done in an operating room?
Doctor :   yes
User :   at a womans clinic... it was more like a gyno exam room
Doctor :   Abortion can be done by putting abortogenic tablets high in the vagina or the contents can be sucked out
Doctor :   which was done for you?
User :   aspiration abortion
Doctor :   The aspiration abortion was not necessary at week 5 of pregnancy, I do not know if there is a need then to aspirate
Doctor :   *was
User :   early aspiration is the suction... is it not?
Doctor :   I think you have to wait for one more week till the feeling of bloating is gone
Doctor :   If not, you have to check once again with the Gyno to see if everything is alright
Doctor :   Your other history is pretty fine and I am not worried
User :   thx
Doctor :   Do you have any more questions?
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me
Doctor :   Bye for now
