i had a blood transfusion last week when i left the hospital my hemoglobin was at 7.6 ..at first after the transfusion of 1 unit it went up to 10.4 ,,i had a d&c because of bleeding i am 51 yrs old does your blood hemoglobin increase if so how quickly

yes,it will increase gradually (in months)with diet and try to take iron and folic acid tablets.
blood transfusion usually increase the level of hemoglobin by 1gm/dl.

I had a blood transfusion 5 pints and ever since I have no feeling of connections for any family or friends as if they were never part of my life...And I have no desire to have anything to do with them...is this because I was almost for dead then the 5 pints of blood?

I have been experiencing allergyic reaction to perfumes this to me was created after I had a blood transfusion about 31 years ago I have been to hospital had 121 tests done and nothing showed up to what was the cause of this so I have to live my life feeling that nothing can be done for me at the moment I am feeling very depressed about the whole thiing and I am really very unhappy so could you please HELP...
allergies can pass on to the receiver during blood transfusion.

however it's nothing to be depressed about, you can keep the allergy in control by using several medicines and keeping track of what aggravates the condition.

hi my name is Lori, i been having iron and blood transfusions, my hemaglobin and ferritin levels drop to critical levels, i have had endyscope,colonoscopy, balloon endyscope, pill capsule, i am bleeding out but no dr's can't find out where i'am bleeding from, need some advice as what to do next, please help, tired of feeling tired, heart paltations too...

I was taking Protonix for acid reflux because my Dr. said I had it but I didn't get heartburn but I did take it and start feeling really bad went to hospital and had to get a blood transfusion , I would like to know if Protonix caused my iron to be so low?

im a 26 year old female i am 5' 7" and weigh about 175 when i stand up i feel very dizzy and like i could pass out so i set down for about 10 mins and then took my pulse rate and it was 139 bpm. i had an emergency c section about a year ago and had several complications and wound up with a blood transfusion should i be concerned about this and go to the dr or what do you think.
