Otolaryngology or ENT (ear, nose and throat) is the branch of medicine and surgery that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ear , nose , throat , and head and neck disorders. The full name of the specialty is otorhinolaryngology ; the full term otorhinolaryngology ( neoclassical Greek and modern Greek : ὠτο(ρ)ρινολαρυγγολογία), also includes ῥινο- - rhino- (root of ῥίς ) nose . The term comes from the Classical Greek roots ὠτ- - ot- (root of οὖς ) ear , λαρυγγ- - laryng- (root of λάρυγξ ) larynx/throat , and the root -logy study , and it literally means the study of ear and throat . Practitioners are called and professionally designated by the more accurate term otolaryngologists–head and neck surgeons , as specialists trained in otolaryngology are experts in surgical conditions of the head & neck. Some people refer to it simply as head and neck surgery.

Hi this is bharath from Bangalore i have a scar on my forehead(aftermath) . i fell down and it was stritched i just want to remove the scar permanently.Some says that the scar can be made small but it wont be removed fully just i want to know is it possible ? if it is ? i m 19yrs old.i was suffering from otomycosis ,but the infection has settled down now.My ENT doctor said that there are 2 holes in eardrum , 1 of which has cured on its own whereas the other 1 has increased in size.Now i m hearing buzzing sound in the same ear.Is everything fine or should i consult my ENT doctor.
