I had some blood tests done 4 years ago and my ALT was raised. I have had blood tests repeated over the last 4 years and the ALT has gone up to 357 and then come down to 250 and my doctor sent me for an ultrasound of my liver. We don't have the results yet but the radiologist told me I have fat in my liver.

What do I do next and can this be completely reversed or have I done any permanent damage?

I have started a very strict low-carb diet and have also eliminated alcohol for 6 months.

I put on a lot of weight in the last 4 years and I think that may have been the cause. I have also been binge drinking a lot.

Brief Answer:
You have fat and alcohol induced liver injury.
