hi, I have been diagnosed with hypertension for about a year now, and am in my young teen years. my doctors have been trying to find out what is causing it for a long while now. I have recently had an operation, during my operation my blood pressure went down to normal (107/72) when it is normally at 145/90, whilst on medication. does this mean that I don't have hypertension?
Hi
Blood pressure can decrease during and after surgery due to spinal anaesthesia. If you had BP better to check regularly. If it is raised on three continuos visit you have to take drug for that. And you have to get checked for causative factors also if it is raised.Hope this help you
thanks
