Cefixime is an oral third generation cephalosporin antibiotic . Cefixime is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the: Ear (otitis media caused by Haemophilus influenzae , Moraxella catarrhalis ,and S. pyogenes.) Nose, sinuses (sinusitis), Throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis caused by S. pyogenes ), Chest and lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae) and Urinary system and Uncomplicated gonorrhea caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae .

I am planning to conceive, and may get a positive pregnancy test , but as I ahve to get my toot extracted tomorrow, I have been prescribed Trixon-O-200 ( Cefixime ). I have already consumed two tablets along with vitamins ,. Is it safe? should i go ahead with the tooth extravtion. I will only get to now if I am pregnant by the end of this week....

I am 6GPD deficient and my son is also 6GPD deficient. He is 1 and half year old. He is suffering from fever/serious diarrhea/ vomiting since 1 June and he is not eating & drinking water etc except breast milk . Doctor has advised him CEFIXIME (Suprax) for % days. Is CEFIXIME (Suprax) is safe for 6GPD patient . Please advice.
