Suggest Treatment For Painful Urination And Blood In Urine

I have had blood in my urine for years now. Never found out why. Today I have had pain while urinating. Feels like something thicker then urine coming out. There is also blood. Not just a drop. Should I wait to see my family doctor later in the week or go to the ER?
